Is the data center a marketing bubble, or a necessity? You are facing a dilemma whether to modernize a current data center, or even more difficult question: should we build our own data center? Our leading specialists, who executed and participated in more projects of this kind, shared their experience about data centers preparation, their realization and operation in Slovakia on May 5, 2010 in a congress center Technopol in Bratislava at the conference named “Data Centers: how to prepare, build and operate them. Or how to rent them“.
All key aspects of building and operation of data centers in our conditions were analyzed in form of specialized lectures and panels. The topic of renting data centers was discussed individually, as an alternative to building own center. EMM as a vintage provider of services for data center operation could not miss the conference. Ing. Jozef Chebeň actively participated in the conference, in the panel discussion “Operation of data centers – the efficiency is only in the first place”. Other participants of the panel were Karol Hederling (STRABAG Proprety and Facility Services) Jozef Chebeň (EMM), Ján Paulech (Microsoft Slovakia), Miroslav Chlipala (Bukovinsky & Chlipala).
