Qualified certificates issuing
New amendment of Electronic Signature Act No. 215/2002 Coll., has terminated using of certification authority signature keys as of 31.12.2009 (signature algorithm SHA1), which was certified by root certification authority NBU KCA2. These signature keys were used for signing of qualified certificates (QC). Qualified certificates issued after 1.1.2010 signed by signature keys of accredited certification authority (signature algorithm SHA2), which were certified by root certification authority NBU KCA3.
Following the introduction of new signature keys (signature algorithm SHA2) a situation has occurred, preventing the use of qualified certificates signed by signature algorithm SHA1 (these were issued before 31.12.2009). The problem has occurred outside
EMM, spol. s r.o. At the moment we are working on solution in co-operation with the National Security Bureau (NBU SR) and our suppliers. We will keep you informed about the latest developments.
Qualified certificates issued after 01/01/2010 are fully functional.
