Network Security
Communications infrastructure must provide for accessibility and integrity of transmitted data. As personal data transmission in LAN and WAN can be expected, it is necessary to safeguard confidentiality of such data. The internal environment for communications infrastructure must be protected against malicious code penetration and against the occurrence of other security incidents. Therefore communications infrastructure components must be able to identify such incident and to protect the organization’s internal environment.
These requirements are fulfilled by creating suitable network architecture while providing for the possibility of separating sensitive LAN segments in the internal environment at least at the routing control level so that a sufficient degree of confidentiality and integrity is ensured for sensitive processes. Other important factors are trustworthy security of environment management, including an appropriate identification and authentication system, access management and transmitted data protection. We recommend that each WAN component is identified. If a WAN component is used to create an encrypted connection, it is also necessary to apply some authentication method. Another important thing to do is designing vital parts of communications infrastructure allowing creation of a back-up (redundant) connection. Centralizing all external accesses into one secured internal network access point is a further element of communications infrastructure protection. All communications networks (i.e. computer and telecommunications networks) must be protected against destruction, damage or abuse.
It is necessary to protect sensitive data transmitted electronically in line with pre-defined requirements applicable to sensitive data protection.
We offer the following services providing for the above-mentioned requirements:
- secure network infrastructure design
- implementation of the IPSec security protocol – separately or linked to the JIS project
- demilitarized zone or firewall implementation
- Internet connection implementation for the organization
- secure e-mail solution implementation
- implementation of a solution for creation of remote user secure communication
